Signal Lab
Deliberate MACD drills before the next cash open
The Signal Lab is where Studio and Clinic participants harden the habit: read MACD against structure under a clock, then hear how others scored the same chart.
How a lab session runs
-
Warm-up panel
One shared chart with MACD visible. You write a one-line thesis — enter, wait, or veto — before discussion starts.
-
Timed unmarked sets
Five charts with outcomes covered. Ninety seconds each to mark the level, MACD context, and your decision.
-
Open debrief
We uncover the follow-through and compare notes. Disagreement is expected; the goal is a clearer personal veto, not consensus theatre.
-
Take-home sheet
One drill for the week using a market you already trade — ASX names, indices, or FX pairs.
Typical rhythm
| When | Format | Seats |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday evenings | Live video, 75 minutes | 8 |
| Alternate Saturdays | Hove study room | 6 |
| Studio cohorts | Embedded practice blocks | Included |
Lab seats for non-enrolled traders open when a clinic has spare capacity. Prefer a full curriculum path? Start with the MACD Timing Studio.
What you practise
Labs stay narrow on purpose — MACD timing only, so the habit sticks.
- Signal-line crosses below zero that still need structure confirmation
- Histogram fades while price presses a prior high
- Bullish crosses above zero that fail under a weekly ceiling
- Higher-timeframe MACD bias versus entry-timeframe timing
